Our University Successfully Participated in the Working Group Office of the IEEE International Conference

On November 5-8,2014, the international conference of IEEE Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition was successfully held in Shanghai, mainly sponsored by China Power Supply Society.

The Chairman of the meeting are Fred C. Lee, Academician of American Academy of Engineering and the professor of Virginia Polytechnic University🏄🏽，Xu Dehong, director-general of China Power Supply Society and the professor of Zhejiang University.

The conference takes the latest technology and the application of the electronic power, especially the development of power supply technology as its theme. The conference used the forms of plenary lecture🫱🏻，symposium⬆️，report in different conference halls，wall newspaper to fully communicate. Tang Tianhao, professor of the Logistics Engineering College of SMU, organized the symposium of the ocean new energy. Representatives from France and other countries attended the symposium. The two new and old chairman of the IEEE Power Electronic Technology Committee spoke highly of the conference.

In order to successfully hold this conference, postgraduate students of SMU majoring electronic power acted as volunteers to do the preparation and organization work. Their hard work and hospitable service were highly praised by the participants of the conference. Professor Xu Dehong cordially met the volunteers of SMU and took photos with them.

The participation of this international conference further promoted the development of electrical engineering discipline of our university and enhanced the our university’s reputation in this area.
